a great intro to Fair Isle and the designing process! First we'll
supply you with charts and blueprints to design the color work for your
hat, then we'll send you out into the store to pick colors to
fit your plan. Then we'll start the Fair Isle process and discuss
decreasing and maintaining patterns for the top of the hat. Knitters
must be comfortable on circular needles and making a simple hat. Instructor: Molly Cost: $40
Felted Entrelac Clutch Tues., Feb. 1, 8, 15, 6-8 pm Customers have been asking for an entrelac project, so here it is. This fun and functional purse is felted and thus avoids the chief drawback of entrelac knitting, the messy wrong side. We'll learn a provisional cast-on and have plenty of time to work on this tricky but interesting technique. Click on the photo for a link to the free pattern. Even better, they feature a knitted lining -- in a contrasting color, of course. These mittens make a a great first-time Fair Isle project, but some previous mitten experience is recommended.
